If you love good coffee, wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was an espresso machine which made not only espresso, but other coffee drinks as well? I was there not too long ago, which is the reason I am going to offer my input on the Krups XP4050 espresso machine.

It was just months ago that I picked up my latest acquisition, my espresso machine. The array of machines to choose from including the extremely high end versions made my choice a difficult one. That one seemed somewhat pragmatic with its fine features, but the price was, well, ouch! Of course, my instincts leaned towards the Krups one, a fully dedicated and automatic espresso charmer!

Ever since I made my first espresso drink by brewing it with the Krups XP4050, I could not get enough, so I was suddenly entirely morphed into a devoted, maniacal coffee drinker. I am anxious to tell you more of the wonderful features I discovered in this machine.

As much as I adore my machine, I must admit that, when it comes to cappuccinos, the milk frother was not what it could be. Eventually, I removed it so I am using just the stem, which is just a shorter version of the one that comes on it. However, I love the option of heating either coffee or milk. This device is awesome at brewing coffee. You can choose between varied single or double espresso shots via the varied capsules that the machine comes with and replacing them is not so expensive. Be certain you lock the easy to use, refill, and remove water reservoir into place to ensure the steaming feature works as intended. You don’t need to be concerned, though, the machine will tell you if something is not in place.

In summary, here is my opinion about the Krups XP4050 espresso machine:

It can be used in so many ways.

It is not expensive.

portable

good coffee

catchment tray is a bit small

main nozzle is not as good as i’d hoped

All in all I would rate this machine as the 2nd best on the market
